Vauxhall Nine Elms Battersea (VNEB) regeneration
Extending from Lambeth Bridge in the north down to Battersea Power Station it is the largest central London regeneration area.
New homes
More than 18,000 new homes expected to be built across the regeneration area, about 3,500 of these will be in the Vauxhall area.
Better transport
including £1 billion extension to northern line and two new tube stations; £45 million improvements to Vauxhall tube station; and remodelling of the Vauxhall gyratory.
New jobs
approximately 22,000 jobs will be created during the construction phase and many of these will be earmarked for local people. A further 25,000 jobs could be created as businesses occupy the new developments.
Improved social infrastructure
including two new schools, approximately 50 acres of new public space, culture and the arts, street improvements, parkland, and a new river walk benefiting cyclists and pedestrians.
